In this paper we present novel, rigorous, multimodeequivalent network representations for a variety of zero-thicknesscapacitive windows and obstacles in a parallel plate waveguide. Akey feature of these representations is that the coupling betweenall of the modes excited is described by a matrix whose elementsdo not depend on frequency or absolute dimensions. The value ofthe results presented is that the networks developed can be usedto analyze rigorously a large variety of single and coupled planartransmission line structures.
